Echoes of Eden Inc. ("we," "us," "our") operates the Anima Protocol platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Full name (optional)
Date of birth (for age verification)

2.2 Conversation and Memory Data

Chat messages and responses
Emotional states recorded in memory system
Relationship progression data
Scenario preferences
User-generated scenarios and content

Login times and frequency
Features accessed
Time spent in conversations
Device information (browser, OS)
IP address

2.4 Payment Information

Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store full credit card numbers. See Stripe's Privacy Policy for payment data handling.

3. How We Use Your Information

Service Delivery: To provide Platform features and personalize experiences
Memory Systems: To create persistent emotional memory and relationship tracking
Account Management: To verify age, manage accounts, and send service notifications
Platform Improvement: To analyze usage patterns (anonymized) and improve features
Safety: To detect abuse, enforce Terms of Service, and prevent illegal activity
Communications: To send product updates, security alerts, and customer support

4. Data You Can Control

4.1 Memory and Emotional Data

You can:

Toggle emotional memory recording on/off in Settings
View all recorded memories about you in your Dashboard
Delete specific memories
Clear all emotional data for a conversation

4.2 Data Deletion Rights

You can request deletion of:

Your entire account and all associated data
Specific conversation histories
Memory records
User-generated scenarios

Submit deletion requests to: privacy@echoesofedenai.com

We will delete data within 30 days, except where required to keep for legal/safety reasons.

5. Data Sharing

We do NOT share your personal data with third parties except:

Service Providers: Stripe (payments), hosting providers (with data processing agreements)
Legal Obligation: If required by law, court order, or to prevent illegal activity
Safety: If necessary to protect safety of users or property

6. AI Training and Data

    Important: We do not use your conversations to train models by default.
    Your chat messages are NOT used to improve our AI without opt-in consent
You can opt-in to allow anonymized conversation data for model improvement
If you opt-in, personally identifiable information is removed first
You can withdraw consent anytime in Settings

  

7. Data Security

We implement:

Encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
Encryption at rest for sensitive data
Regular security audits
Access controls and authentication
Incident response procedures

8. Data Retention

Active Accounts: Data retained as long as account is active
Deleted Accounts: Data deleted within 30 days (except legal holds)
Backups: Backup copies may be retained for up to 90 days
Legal Holds: Data retained if required by law

9. International Data Transfer

Your data may be processed in the United States and other countries. By using the Platform, you consent to data transfer and processing in these locations. If you are in the EU, you have additional GDPR rights (see Section 10).

Erasure: Request deletion (right to be forgotten)
Restrict Processing: Limit how we use your data

Delete: Request deletion of your data
Opt-Out: Prevent data sales (we don't sell, but you can opt out of sharing)

You can disable cookies in your browser, though some Platform features may not work.

The Platform is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If we discover such data, we will delete it immediately.

We may update this policy. Significant changes will be announced in-app. Your continued use constitutes acceptance.
